Jeff + Megan {in love} 9.12.09

Jeff was a psychology major at CMU and Megan, a math major at U of M Flint. Through mutual friends at CMU, their paths crossed November 6, 2004. Megan thought Jeff "looked older and was kind of dorky," and Jeff thought Megan "laughed a lot," and "smelled like pretty girl." They talked that night, but that was that, no sparks. Then they kept running into each other when Megan would visit CMU, and Jeff being his persistent self continued to let Megan know how he felt. Megan continued to play hard to get. He got her to go out to lunch in March 2005, and then finally in May 2005 Megan came to her senses and realized the rest of her life may lie with this "kind of dorky" guy. They spent the summer together and fell in love.

It was not always easy for Megan and Jeff as they were at two different schools leading two crazy lives. But they worked hard through the ups and downs, and found themselves in NYC for spring break 2008. On February 24, 2008 Jeff was not his normal self. Megan noticed, had suspicions, and ran with them for the morning. Jeff took Megan to church at St. Patrick's Cathedral in the morning, and then wanted to take her on a carriage ride through Central Park. Megan took her time deciding to go on the carriage ride as they passed store after store on Fifth Avenue. If you know Megan, passing these stores without going in is not an easy task.

When they got to Central Park, Megan made Jeff pick the "safest looking horse" and away they went. The ride was cold even with the nice blanket provided in the carriage, and the sun was shining. Towards the end of the ride, Jeff started telling Megan he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, and the next thing you know, he pulls a ring out of his pocket! Due to the obstacle of being in a carriage he was not down on one knee, but the romance of the proposal was still there! Megan of course said "Yes!" and they shared a happy moment in their new life as an engaged couple.

Since their arrival back in Michigan, they have been hard at work finishing up their degrees and planning their wedding together.
